New Riding Buddy | Exploring New Brunswick in Canada – EP. 169
EDITORIAL SUMMARY
A ride in New Brunswick offers company and a change of pace after a robbery in Moncton left the rider reluctant to travel alone. With Zac nearby, the journey heads out for gravel and time in the surrounding natural landscape.
About this film
Part of the Canada instalment of an ongoing round-the-world motorcycle journey, this 16-minute episode centres on a local ride with Zac. The rider had been travelling solo since leaving Australia in April 2017 aboard a BMW F800GS, under the name “Are We There Yet.” Here, the focus shifts from the wider journey to a more immediate need for company, and to exploring New Brunswick by motorcycle. The film was recorded in July 2022.
The journey
Moncton is the setting for the event that precedes the ride: the rider had been robbed there and no longer felt like being on her own. Zac was close enough to meet up, and took her for a ride around his local area in New Brunswick. The route brings the motorcycle onto gravel and into natural surroundings. It is a compact episode within a much longer solo journey, with a local excursion becoming the story’s centre.
What to expect
- A New Brunswick ride with Zac
- Gravel riding and natural surroundings
- A personal detour following events in Moncton
