FILM
Two Female Motovloggers in Vancouver | Megan Kaptein & On Her Bike – EP. 162
EDITORIAL SUMMARY
Vancouver is a brief pause in OnHerBike’s round-the-world motorcycle journey, and the last stop before she is due to reunite with her motorcycle. During her stay, she meets Canadian YouTuber Megan Kaptein and spends time exploring the region with her host, Maarten.
About this film
This episode places a visit with another motorcycle-focused creator within a larger solo journey. OnHerBike began travelling from Australia in April 2017 on a BMW F800GS, setting out to ride around the world without a fixed destination or duration. In Vancouver, she meets Megan Kaptein, a Canadian YouTuber, during a stay of only a few days. The encounter gives this instalment a personal focus, while the wider journey remains the context for the visit. Maarten, her host, also shows her around the region.
The journey
Vancouver is described as the final stop before OnHerBike rejoins her motorcycle. The episode’s travel setting is therefore a short stay in the city and its surrounding region, rather than a ride along a specified route. The visit combines time with Megan Kaptein and a local introduction from Maarten, set between stages of the ongoing motorcycle journey. It is part of the Canada chapter of the round-the-world series, following a trip that began in Australia.
