Motorcycle Ride in Uganda – EP. 66

onherbike 25:42 June 2020

EDITORIAL SUMMARY

A motorcycle journey through Uganda, seen in the final memories of a wider solo ride around the world. The film brings together the Ugandan savanna, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, mysterious lakes and encounters with friendly locals.

About this film

Part of the Africa, Round The World series, this episode follows onherbike’s travels in Uganda. The larger journey began in Australia in April 2017 on a BMW F800GS, with no fixed final destination or duration. In this instalment, the focus turns to the landscapes and people that stayed with the rider as her time in Uganda came to an end. Joao is credited with showing her the country, adding a personal connection to these closing memories.

The journey

The film’s Uganda setting spans the savanna, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and lakes described as mysterious. Friendly locals are part of the experience along the way. Rather than presenting a single named route, the episode gathers these places and encounters into a portrait of the rider’s last memories from the country. Its context is an ongoing round-the-world motorcycle trip, with Uganda as one part of a much longer journey.

What to expect

  • Motorcycle travel in Uganda within a continuing round-the-world journey.
  • Views associated with the Ugandan savanna and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
  • Lakes, friendly local encounters and a personal farewell to Uganda.
