About this film
Set during a journey in May and June 2022, the film marks the start of a Florida road trip following the creator’s 2021 cross-country journey in the USA. The departure from Miami is also the beginning of a longer east-coast adventure. Before riding out, the episode covers picking up a motorcycle and registering a vehicle as a foreigner in the United States. The motorcycle for the journey is a Yamaha Ténéré 700.
The journey
From Miami, the ride follows Florida’s A1A Scenic Coastal Byway. Stops along the way include the Jungle Trail and Pelican Island Wildlife Refuge, followed by Sebastian Island State Park and its fishing pier. The journey continues to Cocoa Beach, on Florida’s Space Coast, before the search for a hotel at Daytona Beach. Together, these places shape the film as a coastal travel episode, moving between a scenic road, natural areas and beach destinations.
