Part of Got2Go’s DESTINATION HOME – EUROPE ROAD TRIP series, the film documents a ride with friends during a motorcycle journey in July and August 2021. The rider is on a Yamaha Ténéré 700. A concern about the motorcycle’s brakes appears before the group sets out, giving the journey an early practical complication before the off-road riding begins.
The journey
The ride starts from Camping Gran Bosco in the Susa Valley, then heads onto the off-road section above Bardonecchia. Along the way, the group visits Forte Foens and rides towards Col Basset before continuing up to Monte Jafferau and exploring Forte Jafferau. The return includes Forte Al Seguret and the Galleria dei Saraceni, a high-mountain tunnel. The day concludes with lunch at Cantina Alpina in Eclause. Together, these stops make the route as much a passage through the area’s mountain and military landmarks as a ride across its challenging roads.
