About this film
Part of the DESTINATION HOME – EUROPE ROAD TRIP series, the film documents a ride made during July–August 2021. The journey is aboard a Yamaha Ténéré 700, named FOX, and takes in two prominent Alpine passes. Col Agnel is presented as a historic mountain pass and the Alps’ highest international border crossing. Rather than focusing on a single destination, the film connects the passes in a continuous ride through the region.
The journey
The ride begins in Italy and crosses Colle di Sampeyre before heading towards Col Agnel from its Italian side. From there, the route continues to Col d’Izoard, with a lunch stop along the way, before turning back towards Italy. The return crosses from France through Montgenèvre. Together, these stages form a loop across the French-Italian border and include part of the Route des Grandes Alpes. The route brings the two named passes into one motorcycle journey rather than treating them as separate visits.
