The hottest place on earth – as once measured at 71 degrees celcius is in Iran's Lut Desert. Today I'm riding into that desert to see the famous Kalout outcrops: rocks that have been eroded by wind for millions of years and are dotted around the desert. The temperature difference is incredible. Within a distance of some 20 kilometers, it changes from snow-capped mountains to a steaming hot desert.
