Cape Town to Victoria Falls Motorcycle Tour: May 2025 | Adventure Motorcycle | MSA Travel Africa
EDITORIAL SUMMARY
This film follows a May 2025 motorcycle tour from Cape Town to Victoria Falls, crossing South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. Its itinerary combines consecutive riding days with a mokoro safari in the Okavango Delta and a visit to Victoria Falls.
About this film
Running 56 minutes, the film documents a group tour organised and guided by Craig Fugard-Marshall. Craig, Kirsten Fugard-Marshall and Mark Curnick filmed the journey, with Kirsten also handling photography and Mark driving support and carrying luggage. The riders use a mix of adventure motorcycles, including BMW GS models, Honda Africa Twins, Yamaha Ténéré 700s and a CFMOTO 450 MT. The chapters follow the tour day by day, from the group’s arrival through to its final stop at Victoria Falls.
The journey
The route begins with a Cape of Good Hope loop, then leaves Cape Town for the Cederberg and continues through Vanrhynsdorp and Okiep into Namibia. The listed stops there include Canyon Lodge, Keetmanshoop, Aus, Lüderitz, Helmeringhausen and Windhoek. From Windhoek the group rides to Ghanzi and Maun in Botswana. A mokoro safari in the Okavango Delta provides a break from the motorcycle itinerary before the tour continues to Elephant Sands Lodge and Chobe River Lodge in Kasane, followed by Victoria Falls. The chapter sequence makes the changing stages of this South Africa–Namibia–Botswana journey its central thread.
