[S1 – Eps. 28] NEW PARTS!
EDITORIAL SUMMARY
This Season 1 episode follows a short motorcycle ride from Ayutthaya to Bangkok, where a visit to a motorbike shop brings a practical turn to the journey. The focus is a set of custom parts being developed for the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
About this film
Two Wheels Tourist, a motorbike shop in Bangkok, had arranged for several custom parts to be made for the Himalayan and had previously contacted the rider about them. At the shop, she meets New, its owner, and learns that the parts are still at an early stage of development rather than in full production. New offers parts from his own Himalayan instead, making the visit a direct exchange around the bike and its developing accessories. The episode is part of Itchy Boots’ Season 1, India to Europe, and runs for 6 minutes and 43 seconds.
The journey
The ride from Ayutthaya to Bangkok is described as a short hop via the motorway. Motorcycles are apparently not allowed on that road, and the journey includes some confusion over left and right. The rider is nevertheless allowed to continue and reaches Two Wheels Tourist. The story then moves from the road to the shop, where the developing parts and New’s offer become the centre of the episode. It is a compact travel stop tied to the Himalayan, rather than a separate account of a longer route.
What to expect
- A short ride from Ayutthaya to Bangkok
- A motorway-rule misunderstanding along the way
- Custom Himalayan parts in early development
