FILM
Visiting Motorcycle Clubs in Serbia. EP 32
EDITORIAL SUMMARY
Serbia is the 28th country of a solo round-the-world motorcycle journey, and this episode centres on the people who welcomed its rider. With just three days set aside for the country, visits with the Sorabi and Ketna Motorcycle Clubs give the stay its defining focus.
About this film
Episode 32 belongs to onherbike’s Europe, Round The World series. The journey began in Australia in April 2017 aboard a BMW F800GS, without a fixed final destination or duration. In Serbia, the rider describes being cared for by two motorcycle clubs throughout her stay, and remembers the hospitality, kindness and friendships she encountered. Rather than presenting the country only as a stop between borders, the account foregrounds the connections made along the way. The film runs for 17 minutes and 35 seconds.
The journey
Serbia was a short part of a wider passage through the Balkans: there were 11 days left for the remaining Balkan countries before the planned ferry crossing to Italy, and three days had been allocated to Serbia. The rider’s stay was supported by the Sorabi and Ketna Motorcycle Clubs. Her description characterises the experience less by mileage than by the welcome she received and the friendships that grew from meeting local riders. This episode places those encounters within the larger round-the-world trip, while keeping the Serbian visit at its centre.
